I was born in Ireland, emigrated to Canada and currently live in Maui, Hawaii, USA. My husband is Chinese and also born in China. We have three adult children who live in Canada.
I am a fine artist, I have written two fictional novels, and my education includes commercial art training, a BA, an MSN in nursing education, and certification in psychiatric nursing with the ANCC.
I have been volunteering with the American Red Cross in disaster health and disaster mental health since 2005. My relief operations have taken me as far away as American Samoa and throughout the U.S.A. My hobbies include knitting, playing mandolin, gardening, traveling, painting, and my day is never complete without an ocean swim which I affectionately call my “ocean zen”.
I have traveled throughout Europe, Mexico (briefly), and China.
